Corinthian Books' Editor-in-Chief and busiest author, Richard N. ("Dick")
Côté, travels nationwide to speak, teach, and hold book
discussion and signing events. But book clubs and civic groups who cannot
afford a speaker’s fee and the travel costs can still have Dick
speak to them via Corinthian Books’ free Virtual Author Visit program!
Here’s how to schedule one.

Free Two-way Videoconferencing by Skype
Skype is a free downloadable software program (with no pop-ups, spyware,
or adware) which permits the user to make FREE two-way simultaneous voice+video
calls nationwide and worldwide to anyone else with Skype. All you need
is a free Skype account, a computer with a high-speed cable connection,
and a small, plug-in ($40) video camera. Over 40 million people worldwide
use it every day for free two-way voice+video calls between computers,
using Skype and the Internet. You set up your laptop with a video mini-cam
attached in a place facing your group. Dick has one in his home office.
You and he agree on a date and time for the book discussion, and that’s
all it takes! Dick will contact you via Skype on the scheduled date and
time, and your group and Dick will be able to have a real-time discussion.
Have Skype already? Dick’s Skype ID is dickcote. Give him a Skype
call to see how it works! To download a free copy of Skype, go to www.skype.com.

Free two-way teleconferencing via Speakerphone!
You can also do a simpler version using only an ordinary telephone
with a ‘speaker” option, which lets you hear the caller
and speak to him without holding the handset. Just put a speakerphone
on a table
with your guests surrounding it, call Dick at the pre-arranged time and
place, and the book discussion is on!
Eligibility: These free Virtual Author Visits are available to any book
club or non-profit organization which orders in advance six or more books
by Richard N. Côté directly from Corinthian Books. In addition
to free shipping, the organization will also receive a 20% discount,
and all Côté books will be signed and personalized (on request)
by the author. Feel free to call Corinthian Books with any questions
about the exciting Virtual Author Visit program
